Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitung
The modern manufacturing center of Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitung is located in the south of Leipzig.
The company takes its place in the tradition of the Saxon silver processing. Around 800 years ago, in the Erzgebirge began an intensive silver mining industry. About the Flossgraben the silver ores and goods were transported directly to the city center of Leipzig and sold there. In 1218 merchants established here the first silver trading in Germany. The city developed into an important trading center for precious metals.
